It’s exactly one month until Liverpool’s Cruise Season begins when the Costa Mediterranea makes its maiden voyage down the Mersey.
This year the Liverpool Cruise Terminal has welcomed more than 100,000 international passengers and crew and approximately 50,000 spectators to the waterfront during cruise ship visits, generating an economic impact of around £7 million.
Disney Magic is making a welcome return to Liverpool in September at Princes Dock. She has 11 decks, holds 1754 passengers, 915 crew and is almost 1000ft in length.
This will be Queen Elizabeth’s seventh visit to Liverpool – Cunard’s spiritual home. Her latest call marks the 80th anniversary of the launch of Cunard’s second Mauretania at Cammell Laird’s shipyard in Birkenhead in July 1938.
