Cruise & Maritime Voyages return to Liverpool

Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) who were the first company to use the new Liverpool Cruise Terminal will be back cruising from the port next year.

Following the announcement today that the company has acquired another ship Magellan, it has enabled the company to introduce their ship Azores with a varied itinerary programme from Liverpool in the Summer. Special ‘Buy one get one free – BOGOF’ deals have been introduced on these new cruises for bookings made before 12 December 2014.

With her handsome profile and traditional walk around promenade deck, the 16,144grt Portuguese registered Azores is a classic beautifully restored ocean going cruise ship carrying just 550 guests and offers a wide selection of very well appointed and comfortable public lounges and cabin accommodation.

Azores was originally built as a trans-Atlantic ocean liner and in 1994 the vessel was virtually stripped to her hull and re-constructed at an amazing cost of $US150 million and restored as a beautiful more contemporary vessel.

The Liverpool cruise departures start on 30 July 2015.

30 July for 10 nights up to Iceland (4 different ports including Reykjavik), the Hebrides and Faroes.

9 August for 9 nights up to the Norwegian fjords visiting Flåm, Geiranger, Olden and Bergen plus Scottish Islands.

18 August for 9 nights visiting Cobh in Ireland, Isles of Scilly, Guernsey, Honfleur (Normandy), Invergordon, Hebrides and Tobermory.

27 August a short 2 night mini-cruise to Dublin is also availabl

Mike Hall, Head of Marketing at CMV said “We are delighted to confirm that we will be cruising again from Liverpool next year. We have had great support form the local people in Liverpool and those who operate the Cruise Terminal. This means that we can offer a selection of convenient cruise holiday departures for those living in the Northwest. ”

Prices for the 9 night Norwegian Fjords cruise start from £619pp (1st adult £1239, 2nd adult FREE) and all cruises are on a full board basis with afternoon tea and late night snacks included.
