Cruise Liverpool Tees Off on Saturday and Sunday!

Liverpool will welcome Celebrity Infinity for a weekend visit on Saturday 19th July and Sunday 20th July.

Whilst many of her guests will enjoy a visit to The Open Championship in Hoylake, those who aren’t lucky enough to go will be able to enjoy a whole host of entertainment and activities that the cruise terminal is laying on especially for this visit. Members of the public are welcome to come along and join in the fun too!

Many of you may remember the amazing ‘Jet Pack Jay’ from his water jet escapades during Queen Victoria’s call? Jay will be back on both Saturday and Sunday performing various flying routines in the river just behind the ship.

To really liven up the proceedings we also have some surprise visitors by way of ‘Giant Golfers’ and ‘Comedy Waiters’ who’ll be serving at the cruise terminals new, one off special café ‘The 19th Hole’ where you can enjoy a nice cup of ‘tee’ and a golf ‘club’ sandwich!

On Saturday, The Lord mayor of Liverpool will be on hand to meet and greet our newly arriving passengers whilst the Liverpool Ukulele Orchestra will be performing a selection of sing-a-long tunes – you can even get to make a cameo appearance with the ukulele band on their special ‘VIP seat!

For Art and Beatles lovers, passengers and visitors will have the unique opportunity to view 10 pieces from Anthony Brown’s Exhibition ‘In Their Lives’ – A celebration of the greatest cultural icons of the modern age including the Beatles. Some of Anthony’s prints will be on sale through the Tourist Information Centres new ‘pop up’ shop located at the cruise terminal.

The TI Advisors will be sharing their insider knowledge and selling tickets to key attractions and venues throughout the city.

Continuing to celebrate 50 years of the Beatles break through into America, the Magical Mystery Tour & Beatles Story will be on site to bring a touch of the Fab Four Magic whilst the free Cruise Connector bus will be taking passengers and crew to Albert Dock, Liverpool ONE, City Centre and Liverpool Cathedral.

And if all of the above isn’t enough to float your boat then a special mid river fireworks display will take place at 22:45 on Saturday evening.

Admission is free, Liverpool Cruise Terminal’s passenger lounge will be open to the public from 10am – 5pm.
