Job Opportunity at Liverpool Cruise Terminal

We are looking to a recruit an ambitious, highly skilled Deputy Cruise Manager to provide expert marine support and take responsibility for the overall operational management of the cruise terminal whilst Cruise, Royal Navy and Exhibition vessels are alongside the Liverpool Cruise Terminal berth.


The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of high value vessels using the berth which will involve liaising with River Pilots, Ships Masters, Harbour Master and other relevant Port Authority personnel on a continuous basis.

The successful applicant will have a specialised skill set and will have proven relevant management experience and understanding of the maritime sector in a marine or port management position and will be willing and able to work additional and flexible hours as proven necessary to carry out the duties of the post.

The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with Statutory Authorities, Operational Contractors and Ships Agents is essential to this role, taking particular note of statutory responsibilities, contractual obligations, legal obligations and Health and Safety policy.

The Deputy Cruise Manager will provide shore based support to the Cruise & Operations Manager to ensure a high level of operational performance of personnel and equipment primarily focussing on compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code), and UKBF statutory provisions and codes.

An element of UK and overseas travel may be required to ensure the high profile promotion of the Liverpool Cruise Terminal facilities to the cruise industry.
