Win a Cruise on Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2
Cunard’s Three Queens are coming – and you or someone you know could be part of the celebration.
The shipping line is celebrating its 175th anniversary with a once-in-a-lifetime salute to its spiritual home.
And one lucky ECHO reader and a guest will find themselves on board the Queen Mary 2 as it sails up the Mersey with its sister ships Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria on Monday, May 25.
The ECHO have teamed up with Cunard and the Mayor of Liverpool to launch this fantastic competition.
The prize includes
• Three nights on the Queen Mary 2 in a balcony suite, including all meals.
• The winner and their guest will enjoy $250 onboard spending credit, plus all gratuities paid.
• Travel from Southampton to Liverpool when the QM2 docks on Wednesday, May 27.
The winner and their guest will board the liner – Cunard’s flagship – when it arrives in the Mersey on Sunday, May 24.
On Monday, May 25 the ship sails down the river to meet up with the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria, before the trio take part in a historic ‘royal’ salute and river ballet in the Mersey, expected to be watched by up to one million people on the shore.
The QM2 then departs, sailing across the bar and into the open sea.
On Tuesday, May 26, it calls at St Peter’s Port in Guernsey. And on Wednesday, May 27 the winner and their guest disembark in Southampton.
Mayor Joe Anderson said: “Cunard’s celebrations will be amazing for the city and as part of the preparations we have secured this amazing prize.
“With your help, we can make it one magnificent weekend for someone who deserves to be recognised for their contribution to Liverpool.
“We all know someone who gives… and gives… and gives, and I hope we will all take this chance to give something back to them by sending a nomination to the ECHO.”
And ECHO editor Alastair Machray added: “The Three Queens weekend is going to be a very special one for Merseyside, and we’re expecting to see massive crowds on both sides of the Mersey.
“But imagine being on one of those magnificent ships in the river itself. That really will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we’re hugely excited and grateful to be able to offer it to someone really deserving.”
